Appearances 2012

Since the release of Captive in the Dark in 2011, I have been overwhelmed by the love and support of all the readers, bloggers, and authors. These days, I am always saying thank you to someone and I couldn't be happier about that. I never expected any of this would happen. Hoped and dreamed it would? Yes. Worked hard to acheive it? You bet your ass. Believed it would happen? Never!

There is so much about Captive in the Dark that is precious and sacred to me. It's more than a book I wrote, it's been my source of hope.  I will never stop being grateful to everyone who has made my dream reachable. Thank you.

With the upcoming release of Seduced in the Dark on September 1, 2012, I am happy to report I am going to attend TWO book signing events this year. I hope this is the beginning of many appearances.

6/18/12 So Close I Can Taste It!

Attention: My Pervy Fans

Seduced in the Dark will most likely be finished this week! Just the 1st draft, but so excited. Lots to come in the next several weeks and I'll need your help.

I've signed up for a Kickstarter account. They help creative types like me get their projects off the ground. In order to finish SITD on time and in the hopes of being a full-time writer, I quit my day job.

Great, except I need capital to get the book launched: posters, post-cards, postage, upfront book buy, editor etc.

SO...I have decided to offer a pre-sale of SITD in order to raise the money I need. For $25 you can get an advanced and autographed copy of SITD once it's available to me through the printers (possibly before it’s officially released!)

Please check out the link below and help a b***h out! Tell a friend! Without the necessary funds, I will have to wait to put out the paperback until I’ve raised the capital through the sales on the ebook.

Thank you!

1/2/12 The New Year is off to an amazing start: New reviews, New friends, and A New lease on awesome

I recently got a little misty-eyed when I read a review from 'Rhonda' on Goodreads. There have been some pretty incredible reviews of Captive in the Dark these last few months, but for some reason, Rhonda's review just affected me. Perhaps one of my readers said it best when she replied, "...She hit every nail on the head with this review. Amazing with a capital 'A'". I felt exactly the same.

So, that being said, I had to get in touch with Rhonda and let her know how much I appreciated the review. To my surprise, Rhonda is a bit of a writer herself and reviews are her strong point (SURPRISE). We've been talking for days! I'm always overwhelmed by the spirit of community embodied in the indie movement. People helping people for no other reason than they can. Rhonda didn't just review my book, she posted it on her website, she invited other bloggers to contact me and review my work, she invited me to guest blog, she tweeted about me! And what did she ask for in return? Nothing.

But she deserves so much more than nothing. And so here I am, writing about her, tweeting about her, and telling you all how amazing she is. Personally, I'm just glad to have made such a good friend.

I've met so many wonderful people online in the last few months, some of them I communicate with on a regular basis. I've never been so glued to Facebook in my life!

Speaking of new friends, I recently published Sin City: Six Scintillating Stories with five other talented writers: T.S. Addison, Anthony Beal, Daisy Dunn, Rushmore Judd, and Nikki Palmer. All of them are in indie writers and all of them bring something new and appealing to the table. When I first thought of putting this anthology together, I didn't know what to expect. Not because I doubted the talent, but because writers can be some of the biggest procrastinating, ego-maniacal people you'll ever know (myself included, lol). But honestly, they BLEW ME AWAY. Each of them has become a friend, someone I respect, and someone I look up to. They have taught me more about my craft and about myself. The past six months has been made all the more wonderful because I know them.

Check out the new review of Sin City, HERE.

And don't forget to visit Sam, Elena, and Rhonda's Awesomeness blog, HERE

My heart is swollen with gratitude and I have all of you to thank for it. 2012 is going to be an amazing year.

12/11/11 A Review and an Interview with Books4Tomorrow

I'm always a little gun shy when it comes to anyone reading and reviewing my book. I know the subject matter isn't for everyone, to be honest I am consistently surprised by the absence of hate mail and the existence of FAN mail. It's been a crazy ride these last few months as I've gone from relative nobody to an 'almost' somebody, lol. Anyway, the review site Books4Tomorrow took a chance on this unknown writer and agreed to read my book. What I didn't expect was that the reviewer would love it so much she wanted an interview!

Check out the review and become a fan of the site. You won't regret it!

9/7/2011 My Interview with Kimberly Bennett

I recently had the pleasure of being interviewed by Kimberly Bennett, a recently published independent author. It truly warms my heart to think of how quickly and easily I have been accepted by the indie community. Being in a chat room filled with other erotica/romance writers is like coming home (without the awkward sleeping arrangements). I extend my deepest gratitude to Kimberly Bennett and encourage all of you to visit my Indie Support page and catch up with Kimberly and some other wonderful Indie Authors.

You can read my interview with Kimberly HERE.

7/29/2011 Captive in the Dark Release Party

Very special thanks go out to the owner of Vino 100 in Rapid City, South Dakota for hosting the book premier of Captive in the Dark. I could not be more excited to debut my first novel in such a fashionable establishment.

If you're in the Rapid City area, please stop by, have a glass of wine and get your autographed copy of Captive in the Dark.

8/30/2011 I'm on the Radio!

Radio Interview: Wednesday, Aug 31 on 100.3 The Fox with K-Mack

TAKE A LISTEN

Wow, it's all coming together! I was sitting in bed last night (yes - sitting) thinking about the book premier and how nervous I am about it being a success. I've been having nightmares about no one showing up, or being largely ignored, or having to go home with all my goodies; but none of that is surprising considering that I'm prone to panic attacks. But there really isn't any reason for my lunacy.

I have an amazing network of friends who have been truly supportive of this entire process. They have designed book covers and post cards, provided me with an amazing venue, offered to take pictures, tweeted about me, mentioned me on their social media, linked to me on their websites and now - they've secured air time for me. What in the world could I have to worry about when I have friends like these? Nothing. It's gonna be great!

Thank you so much to all of my amazing and talented friends. I could not have done any of this without you.

I'll update this information just as soon as I have a time for the interview. Special thanks to Rilee James for making it happen.
